I'm giving a virtual chess workshop hosted by the San Mateo public library on Monday, January 11 from 6-7pm, PST.
If you or if you know anybody who is interested, I invite you to attend: https://smplibrary.as.me/chessworkshop
I will be discussing my two chess books "Queen For a Day: The Girl's Guide to Chess Mastery" and "50 Poison Pieces" (available on Amazon). I will also reveal winning strategies to improve your chess skills.
I wish everyone a happy holiday and a happy new year in 2021. Earlier this year, I published my "Queen For A Day: The Girl's Guide To Chess Mastery" book on Amazon.com. I highly recommend buying this book for beginners. I wrote this book to inspire more girls and women to play chess. Do you need more inspiration to play chess? If so, I encourage you to watch the "Queen's Gambit" TV show on Netflix. I saw all episodes and I liked it! Beth, who is the main character in the "Queen's Gambit" learns chess from a janitor. Beth becomes a chess prodigy.
You are invited to come to the San Francisco Mechanics Institute Chess Club social today!
I’m going to be a special guest.
Come join at noon PST: Come watch here: twitch.tv/mechanicschess
Hope all is well!
Cheers,
Lauren
Today at 4:45pm (California time), I’ll be representing the San Francisco Mechanics Institute Chess Club in an online match against the Marshall Chess Club in New York City, St. Louis Chess Club, and Charlotte Chess Club.
The link to watch the games live is: https://new.uschess.org/news/four-corner-inter-club-battle-thursday/
I’ll also be creating a screencast video for my YouTube chess channel too.
